Status of Deweya project and impact
Project update van 24 januari 2019 door Mussa Nyirenda
School in operation and now up to grade 6
Deweya primary school happens to be one of the schools that got started due to the intervention of World Servants through the groups of volunteers who constructed a school block and teacher house in 2016.
Since then the school has grown from no grade to grade five with six qualified teachers. The community has managed to construct three temporary teachers houses to accommodate more teachers.
The shallow well that was constructed by CCAP smart centre has proved not helpful to the community because it has been dry. There is great need for mechanical drilled borehole.
The community is in need of more permanent teacher houses, school block and toilets to carter for the growth of the school.
Deweya can be viewed as one of the many communities where World servants projects have made tremendous impact in uplifting the standard of education in needy communities.
