Na elk project vragen we onze partner hoe het project is gegaan en welke lessen de partner heeft geleerd. Je vindt hier het bijbehorende rapport.

1.    CONTEXT AND SUMMARY
1.1.    The original plan of the project
We are very impressed with the involvement of the community before the arrival of the team and when the team was here. There was total cooperation among themselves in organising the local building materials (Sand bricks stones) and they kept on coming to play, work and interact with participants. The community we can say they really understood community based self-help project From the World Servant Team God was with us, the participants were nice with good leadership. They were 1 as a team very flexible and helping to one another, this was exhibited when we received a message of bereavement that one participant had lost grandpa. The love of God was exercised until everything was arranged.

1.2.    Implementation of the project
Katondo being a community that is surrounded by small farmers who are not really educated, through interaction with some CCAP staff members they thought of developing a school which will help them and their children who will inturn become leaders in those villages and can do good farming using basic education they can acquire. With the World Servants Netherlands we built 2 teacher houses. When the team was arriving all the 2 houses had the corners up. Together we raised them to the roof level. It was nice.

2.    CONSTRUCTION
2.1.    Buildings worked on
At the project site we had a lot of interaction as we were trying to teach each other names, language, and some culture. The team worked very hard it was small but strong. The community was so promising that they will finish the remaining work and they will embark on molding other bricks so that world servant can send another team very soon. We built 2 teacher houses to Roof levels

2.2.    Tasks to be done
Bricklaying, concrete casting, mixing cement, plastering, painting

3.    FACILITATION OF THE TEAM

Children’s program was perfect, children always asked hard questions which made some team members cry or fail to give an appropriate answers such as Why do you want to go, when you go what are we going to be doing are we going to continue with children’s work, when are you going to come back? Generally we had good time.

3.2.    Cultural and touristic outings
We had great experience on cultural program despite the differences but we appreciated that we are all people created by 1 GOD. The touristic outing was marvelous.

3.3.    Life Skills
